Rosalio Barrera - Carpenter

Rosalio Barrera, a native of Mexico, came to the United States seeking employment and a better life for his family. His first destination was Los Angeles, CA, where he worked for 10 years as a gardener. During that time he received his US Permanent Resident Card (green card) and in 1999, he proudly became a US citizen. His desire to learn different skills took him to Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked for six years in the concrete trades. While working on a custom home in Fountain Hills he met Steve Lenzmeier, who gave him the opportunity to learn about carpentry. Rosalio really enjoyed this aspect of construction. Today he is an apprentice carpenter with Lenzmeier Construction, Inc. and looking forward to becoming a master carpenter.

He and his wife, Rosa, are proud of their thirteen year old daughter, who is an excellent student and basketball player. Rosalio and his family travel to Mexico frequently on their vacations. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, baseball, and basketball.
